The Colorado Grand is an annual charity supporting event that takes place each September. Eighty-five vintage sports cars constructed in 1960 or earlier cover more than 1,000 miles of beautiful Rocky Mountain landscapes. For the last 34 years, the Colorado Grand has been raising funds to help Colorado charities and Western Slope towns as well as provide college scholarships to graduating high-school seniors.

For nearly 20 years, MPI has had the opportunity to provide transportation and support to our clients participating in this wonderful event. For the 2023 edition, we prepared, transported, and supported an unrestored 1959 Aston Martin DB4 GT. Our support crew traveled behind the group throughout the week to ensure the car was performing as it should.

One of the challenges which makes the Colorado Grand unique among vintage car rallies is the higher elevation encountered on the four-day route. The goal for our crew is to correct any issues so our client can complete the tour. Thankfully, this year there were minimal roadblocks, and our team was able to assist our client for the entirety of the event, with he and co-driver finishing the tour.

Prior to the finisher’s dinner and live charity auction, our team loaded the car and transported it back to Wisconsin, where it will get a good detail and a post-event maintenance check before it goes back into storage for the winter.

We were honored to have been involved with this fantastic community-centered event! Each year, we’re able to see old friends and make some new ones as well! It’s a wonderful family of automotive enthusiasts sharing their rare and valuable cars on some of the best driving roads in the country.
