Restoration Progress on the 1953 Maserati A6GCS
This 1953 Maserati will be presented at the 2021 Pebble Beach Concours. All restorations undergo a thorough research process based on the scope of their project. We confirm every detail we can and correct aspects of the car after our clients approval. On this 1953 Maserati, we corrected the interior metal including the foot wells, interior panels, firewall, routing of the wiring harness, as well as trunk area details including modifications to the oil tank and the spare tire holder. On the exterior we noticed the headlights and tail lights were incorrect and the license plate light was missing, and corrected these as well.
All of the corrections made were confirmed with in-period photographs that our researchers obtained. In addition to the repairs from above, we repainted the body, all body panels and the chassis, restored all components, and are currently assembling the vehicle and repairing the interior upholstery. Stay tuned as we move on to the engine rebuild and refinement stages!
